Joan Edam has become the name I use for everything I make. Before this EP the main thing I had been doing was comics; particularly my continuing series called 'Safe From Harm'

'Safe From Harm' is a continuing surreal comic series documenting the adventures of one person's trip through the Netherworld and the chaotic, shifting landscape they experience.

This started as an experiment in automatic writing and has gradually shifted into a Surrealist story that is still continuing to develop. The intention was for every element of the story to have a deeper meaning for the reader to interpret and that is very personal to me. All comics flow from one into the next to create a seamless narrative experience.
