Her garden's left untended, A place she used to dream. She visits me in memories, I see her in between the trees. The home they shared is empty, No longer meant for me. I don't think I can go back, An empty place where they should be. Find Home Stay Close Another branch is added, To the family tree. Our families getting bigger, I hope that they can see. It feels like something's broken, Now it's a part of me. It will always be there, An empty place where they should be. Find Home Stay Close Find Home Stay Close

about

I've always found it difficult to hear the words in a song. I've never been able to figure out exactly why but this could be why I really love instrumental music and bands who use vocals more like a texture than for what is being said.

There are some albums though that have managed to cut through; either because they are so unflinchingly honest or life-affirming or seem to relate directly to what I'm going through at the time. Albums I love include Marnie Stern's 'Marnie Stern' album, Delta Sleep's 'Ghost City' and Andrew WK's 'You're Not Alone'.

The last few years have been really hard for me and those I am closest to. The other week it all caught up with me again and I ended up writing words for my own song.

This is the first time I have ever sung in my actual voice. It's also the first time I've sung about something really personal to me.

Thank you for everything. I love you and I miss you.
